Development Permits
The Official Community Plan (OCP) regulates Development Permit Areas and requirements. Many developments will require a Development Permit. Development Permit Areas include Wildfire Protection, Downtown and Highway Commercial, and Neighbourhood Centres.
Highway Corridor, Downtown & Neighbourhood Centre Development Permit Areas:
These areas are designated in the Official Community Plan Development Permit Area Map . These areas carry design guidelines for building and sustainability design features, landscaping, form, and character of developments, as set out in Chapter 7 of the Official Community Plan. Development Permits require Council approval.
